My Approach
Lovingly Challenging
I work to lovingly challenge your assumptions and explore alternative perspectives to facilitate deeper personal insights.
Deep Questioning
I use deep questioning techniques, such as ORID (gathering objective, reflective, interpretive, decisional data), to help us gain collective understanding.
Psychedelic Guidance
As a Certified Psychedelic Coach, I offer comprehensive guidance on using entheogenic medicines for personal growth, including microdosing, macrodosing, and preparation leading up to and integration post ceremonies.
My Techniques & Modalities
Diagnostics and Assessments
We’ll ground our work in data with tools like the Neethling Brain Instrument, Team Diagnostic Survey, and Leadership Circle Profile.
Neuroscience-Backed Techniques
My studies in Neuroscience for Business at MIT enrich my coaching, offering techniques to keep your brain healthy and functioning optimally through a holistic perspective.
Practical Leadership Tools
I provide hands-on tools that are immediately applicable, such as executive presence frameworks, value-clarification exercises, and journaling prompts. These tools have a practical and immediate impact on your day-to-day activities.
Client Love ♥
“Jacob routinely helps me see beyond the limitations I’ve unknowingly placed on myself—then helps me break free of them. I leave our conversations feeling empowered to solve whatever challenge I’m immediately facing, as well as how I can derive more happiness and success out of my career (and, frankly, life). I cannot recommend working with Jacob enough!”

Our Coaching Journey Together
Our collaboration begins with a brief, 25-minute introductory call to explore potential areas for growth and to see if there's a good fit between us. If we decide to proceed, we'll have a longer 45-minute session where we dive deeper into defining what success looks like for you. This is necessary foundational work before the coaching begins and a critical step in shaping the container for our coaching work together.
After this foundational session, we'll draft a rough outline of our coaching engagement, which typically involves:
Weekly or bi-weekly 45-minute sessions over a period of 2-3 months.
The initial sessions are about getting to know each other. I might introduce tools like the Neething Brain Instrument (to understand your thinking preferences), or the Team Diagnostic or Leadership Circle Profile. If of interest, we can also discuss how psychedelics may fit into your coaching journey.
Together, we'll spend time uncovering and discussing your values and how you might further their integration into your day to day habits & rituals, which is crucial for your personal and professional growth.
At the end of the initial period, we'll evaluate our progress and decide if extending our time together would be beneficial. While I'm open to continuing our sessions, I typically aim for our coaching engagement to conclude within 3-6 months to keep our focus sharp.
My Structure for Coaching Sessions
My coaching sessions adhere to a structured yet flexible approach that starts with understanding what truly matters to you. This process is inspired by a foundational method I learned at Columbia University.
① What’s Up
We start by understanding what is alive for you right now — whether it's addressing long-term goals or immediate concerns like sudden changes at work. This sets the stage for our work together.
② What Matters
We delve into the heart of what really matters to you. This isn't just about intellectual reasons but also how these goals resonate with you emotionally and physically. Understanding this deeper significance is crucial for genuine engagement and commitment.
③ What’s Next
We work through actionable steps. This involves both immediate actions and potentially transformative long-term strategies. The focus is on practical, embodied actions that range from skill development to lifestyle changes.
Offsite Option
Enhance Your Leadership Impact with Custom Offsites
If desired as part of our one-on-one coaching work, I also offer customized offsites to help complement our individual work in context with your team. Whether you're leading a small team or a large scale organization, I will collaborate with you to craft an offsite tailored to your strategic goals and help facilitate.
Offsite Design & Planning: We start by identifying clear objectives, ensuring every element of the offsite aligns with your goals. Based on these objectives, I create a tailored agenda with targeted activities to keep participants engaged and drive your desired outcomes.
Bespoke Activities & Facilitation: My experience spans a wide range of needs — from creative exploration and team building to strategic planning and role clarification. Example activities include: team charters, purpose statements, OKRs, goal setting, roadmaps with prioritization, etc. As your facilitator, I manage offsite participant dynamics in real time, allowing you to fully engage without the burden of running the event.
Post-Offsite Coaching & Support: To ensure the offsite leads to meaningful outcomes, I provide coaching to help implement the plans we've developed, translating insights into tangible, sustainable actions.
